We collaborate with architects and builders from the early conceptual phases through to construction. Our team oversees every aspect of the Interior Design process, including the selection of architectural details, finishes, and fixtures, and the sourcing, procurement, and installation of furnishings, decor, textiles, and accessories - all of the custom details that make the space uniquely yours. Our garden design approach is an extension of this philosophy, ensuring seamless continuity between indoor and outdoor living.
In addition to our portfolio of design clients, both domestic and international, in 2019, we opened a furniture and decor shop, where we offer a collection of timeless, elevated pieces as an approachable way to layer our aesthetic and styling into your home.

FOUNDER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR + PRINCIPAL DESIGNERNicole approaches each project with excitement and a passion for soulful design. With over a decade of experience in high-end residential and boutique commercial interiors, she brings a refined yet grounded perspective to her work that is rooted in natural materials, timeless details, and a sense of quiet luxury.
With Dutch roots, her aesthetic is elegant and understated, marked by layered textures, thoughtful details, and a strong European influence. Nicole believes great design is personal. She thrives on authentic, collaborative relationships with clients, knowing that trust and alignment always lead to the most meaningful spaces.
As a mother of two spirited little boys, Nicole understands that home is where life unfolds and believes that a space can be both beautifully curated and resilient enough to survive the chaos of life with kids and time spent with loved ones. Her designs foster family connection and support daily rhythms while reflecting each client’s unique story.
Nicole is ARIDO registered and NCIDQ certified. She facilitates successful projects through her attention to detail and technical understanding. Starting Maison Blonde with her husband, Brad, was a way to merge her creativity with a life centered on intention and family. At the heart of every project is a simple goal: to create spaces that feel effortlessly elevated, deeply nurturing, and truly livable.
Nicole De Vries
CEO + DESIGNER Brad’s in-depth knowledge of construction and project management partnered with his creativity results in the most thoughtful and intentional designs.
Brad is also skilled in site planning. Drawing from a background in urban design, he can work with you to determine the optimal location and orientation of your home on your property, provide grading plans as well as select finishes for exteriors.
Brad De Vries
SENIOR DESIGNER Chenoa is a Senior Designer at Maison Blonde. She brings years of experience in the construction realm and a keen eye for detail. Her design philosophy focuses on creating spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and curated to each of our clients. Her use of natural light, textures, and layers forms a deeper, more inviting, and collective space throughout each of our projects to ensure our clients' visions and expectations are met.
Chenoa Saumure
SENIOR DESIGNER With more than 10 years of experience in the interior design industry, Anna is passionate about creating spaces that feel both beautiful and deeply personal. She studied Environmental Design at OCAD University in Toronto, specializing in interior design, where she developed a strong foundation in thoughtful, functional design.
Since moving to Ottawa almost eight years ago, she has immersed herself in the local design and building community, fostering meaningful connections with clients and collaborators alike. She values the relationships she builds throughout each project, ensuring every space reflects her clients’ needs both functionally and stylistically. Curious and continually inspired, she approaches each project with a fresh perspective and a commitment to creating timeless interiors.
Anna Keenleyside
LOGISTICS MANAGER + CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SPECIALISTMorgan brings her years of logistics and coordination to Maison Blonde's ecommerce and retail operations. She manages our design projects once they hit the 'order and purchase' phase and manages client installs.
She's usually the one answering all your questions and inquiries about our decor & furniture, and she manages the packing & shipping so you get your home decor as quickly as possible!
